Other Exemptions to the FLSA |
There are many other persons employed in other occupations who may be excluded from being paid overtime. Examples of other “exempt” employees include railroad workers, taxi cab drivers, airline employees, some agriculture workers, and seamen. Despite these exemptions, most workers in the United States are entitled to overtime pay under the FLSA.
As a general rule, workers whose job duties classify them as “employees” cannot be lawfully denied overtime pay.
