Maureen A. Bantz has been a member of Werman Law Office, P.C. since 2006. Maureen is a highly experienced employment law litigator, and her practice focuses on multi-plaintiff class/collective actions involving wage and hour claims. Ms. Bantz also represents individuals in single plaintiff employment matters involving claims under the Family Medical Leave Act, and for sex, race, and age discrimination, and retaliatory discharge. Maureen also has experience before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Illinois Human Rights Commission, as well as before local state and federal employment agencies. Ms. Bantz also has conducted employee training seminars.

Maureen has been incredibly successful over the course of her legal career, appearing in well over 100 federal and state lawsuits which have resulted in the recovery of literally tens of millions of dollars for thousands of working people. She is recognized by both her peers and her opponents as a highly ethical and highly knowledgeable and skilled lawyer who will not quit until she obtains a successful result for her clients.

Ms. Bantz is a member of the American Bar Association and the Chicago Bar Association, and is also a Contributing Editor to the leading treatise on the Fair Labor Standards Act, “Kerns, The Fair Labor Standards Act.

Ms. Bantz received her Juris Doctor degree, summa cum laude, from DePaul University College of Law in May 2006 and was elected into the Order of the Coif. Ms. Bantz received her Bachelor of Science degree, magna cum laude, in Public Administration from the University of Arizona in 2002. As a law student, Ms. Bantz was a member of the Moot Court Society Appellate Court Team, and she was a Quarter-Finalist in the 2006 Wagner National Labor and Employment Law Moot Court Competition. Ms. Bantz also externed for the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, Chicago District Office.
